Sleeping Giant Sotheby’s International Realty
2011 Holiday Greetings – “The Crystal Ball”
Although 2011 was another challenging year, we are at the end and feel that we have turned the corner. Our office has sold over $72,000,000 this year; a 9% increase over last year. It seems as if we have opened more escrows in the last few months than in the rest of the year combined. Interest rates remain at historic lows and prices appear to have hit the bottom…it’s a great time to buy!
We are seeing many more foreign Buyers—from places such as China, Australia, and Russia and places even more obscure. One Russian Buyer just swooped in and purchased a bluff front property for 25% more than the Seller paid for it two years ago! So, Seller dreams can come true, even in this market!
We are excited for the New Year and the launch of our new office website at www.SleepingGiant.com . Built with award winning technology and featuring numerous enhancements, our new website allows visitors to move seamlessly between interactive property galleries, and Google maps or Google Earth, showing Kauai in 3D, complete with lot lines. Searches can be performed based on property specifics such as elevation, view, frontage, address, area, and much more. The listing pages themselves contain a wealth of information including photos, comparable sold properties, extensive listing details, sales history, permit history, lot lines over satellite imagery and even the basic home layout for most homes.
Of course my personal website, www.Kymry.com , is a great resource for you to visit when searching for property or reading my blog to get the latest Kauai Real Estate news. The search capabilities on my site will be the same as our new office website once the transition is complete. If you missed my Kauai episode of HGTV’s House Hunters that aired earlier this year (the first ever filmed on Kauai!) you can watch it on my website as well. You can also get the latest Kauai Real Estate news by following me on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/KauaiRealtor or on Twitter at www.Twitter.com/KymryPerez.
I hope to see you in the coming year. Kauai is still the best place to live, bar none! I wish you and your ohana a wonderful Holiday, and a healthy and successful 2012.
